To compliment the basic Empretec programme activities, EMPRETEC Nigeria will provide the following additional services to its beneficiaries/clients:
Productivity Improvement programme: This will involve the on-site adaptation and implementation of productivity and quality improvement mechanisms at the enterprise level.
Technology Enhancement Scheme: The objective of this scheme is to assist companies to source and acquire technologies that are critical for improving product quality, productivity and enhancing competitiveness.
Foreign Linkage Facilitation: This initiative is designed to promote intra-regional trade as well as attract foreign direct investment into Nigeria. It will involve preparing investment profiles for selected companies, organizing investment missions and providing technical support to SMEs in Nigeria to negotiate foreign linkage arrangements.
International Executive Placement Programme: Under this programme, experienced Management Advisors and Technical Experts from different countries will be recruited and placed on-site in small and medium enterprises in Nigeria that require short to long-term specialized assistance.
Innovative Financing for SMEs: EMPRETEC Nigeria will provide technical support in developing and implementing innovative financing mechanisms for facilitating access to credit for SMEs. The programme will seek to combine credit with technical assistance as a means of enhancing the capacity of SMEs to make effective use of credit and thereby improve on their loan management performance.
The Export Roundtable Initiative: A key component of the EMPRETEC Nigeria portfolio of services will be to establish the Export Roundtable Initiative in Nigeria. The Roundtable will comprise of key service providers in the export development process who will implement a comprehensive programme of support for selected exporters in areas ranging from market identification and product development through export financing, production, quality control, packaging and shipping. |
