EMPRETEC Nigeria has proudly partnered with United Bank for Africa to empower 750 small and medium size business owners by running 30 workshops, aimed at setting new businesses to a flying start, while breathing new life into stagnant ones.
Sponsored by UBA for the benefit of UBA’s enterprising customers, the wave of EMPRETEC workshops is set to sweep through big cities in Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroun, from February 23 to December 17, 2009, with the objective of working magic for SME owners by changing their mindsets.
EMPRETEC is a training Workshop developed under the auspices of The United Nations Conference On Trade And Development to serve as a capacity-building program for businessmen and women using the proven technique of learning by doing.
With its 6-day program, known as an Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (ETW), EMPRETEC’s short but impactful training changes entrepreneurial behavior of today's business leaders by making them aware of the main personal entrepreneurial competencies (PECs) which shape the entrepreneur’s decisions and actions.
The UBA-EMPRETEC partnership will also produce ready candidates for the popular Dragon’s Den Television contest where winners stand to win the investment of influential business people, also known as Dragons.
